Boss Backfire (“老板翻车记”) is a free browser game. It has no accounts, no chat and no server-side game backend. The game is free to play; optional cosmetic purchases are described below.
Your settings, characters, coins, unlocked items, purchase records and best score are saved only in your own browser (localStorage). You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
The optional “photo face” feature (website version only) reads a picture you choose inside your browser. It is cropped and drawn locally, kept only in memory, and is never uploaded to us or anyone else. It disappears when you close the page. Please only use photos of people who agree, and never post other people’s photos publicly. Exported images that use a photo carry a visible “game parody” watermark.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.
The website version reserves space for banner ads outside the game area. If ads are switched on later, third-party ad networks (for example Adsterra or A-ADS, and possibly Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. This page will be updated before that happens. Versions published on game platforms (such as CrazyGames or Poki) follow the platform’s own privacy policy and ads.
The in-game coin shop uses game coins only. The website version also sells optional digital cosmetic items (outfits, backfire effects, theme packs), permanent ad removal and a supporter pack. They change looks only and give no gameplay advantage. Card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page; we never see or store your card details, and Stripe handles your payment data under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Chinese players may also pay through 爱发电 (afdian.com), under its own terms. After paying you are sent back to the game and the item is unlocked in your browser; we keep a record of the purchase in localStorage on your device only. If you email us to restore a purchase, we use your email and receipt only to verify it and reply.
Items are delivered immediately. If something did not unlock or you were charged by mistake, email yijzhu@gmail.com with your receipt or order number and we will fix it or refund you.
The game is cartoon comedy intended for a general audience aged 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information.
